Who's doing the talking?

Everyone in the meeting opens this page on their own laptop. Each one listens only to its person, works out when they are speaking, and the room adds it up, live, with a transcript as it goes.

1. The host starts a room, sets how long the meeting should run, and sends the link.
2. Everyone turns on their mic. SpeakEasy counts their talk time and writes down what they say.
3. Afterwards the host gets the transcript, with anything out of pocket flagged.

To Do List

Plan ahead: give each meeting a to-do list and bring it in with you. Kept on this device only.

Only a voice counts. Claps, typing, bangs and applause are ignored: SpeakEasy listens for the steady pitch of speech. Wear headphones. If the call plays through your speakers, your mic hears the others too, and a voice is a voice. Speech-to-text is Chrome's: on-device where Chrome can, otherwise Chrome sends your audio to Google to transcribe. SpeakEasy itself only receives the text.
